About the Artist
My name is Sheila Baum.
I was born in the countryside of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, and at the age of fifteen I left my hometown to work as a model. This journey led me to live in different countries, discover new cultures and develop a deep appreciation for the beauty found in details, stories and artistic expression.
Later, I earned a degree in Journalism and Communication from UNIP University in São Paulo, an experience that deepened my passion for storytelling, observation and aesthetic sensitivity.
Over the years, art became a way of bringing together all of these experiences.
It was from the meeting of nature, memory, travel and creativity that Cores & Contos was born.
Today, every painting, object and project created in the studio carries a part of that journey: the curiosity of someone who has always sought to explore the world, and the gentleness of someone who learned to find beauty in silence, flowers and life's smallest details.
